Sorry for the late reply! I’ve been quite busy but I did want to take the time to answer this (also I may be procrastinating).
Thank you for noticing the good lighting and VSCO filters. <3 But in all seriousness, my face is not as smooth and clear as it appears! Stress and hormonal induced acne do appear on my face from time to time and also during the warmer weather because of sweat and so forth.
I generally have pretty good genetics when it comes to my skin but lately I haven’t been taking extremely good care of it because I’ve been lazy due to school so I just use baby wipes to take off my makeup and I’m not even sure if that’s good but it does work for me… And my intense skin care regimen is usually held at night because when I wake up I just rinse my face with cold water.
When I am truly in the mood, I would usually cleanse my face with Aveeno’s Skin Brightening Daily Scrub (mainly because it came in a pack from Sam’s Club LMAO and I know I linked to ULTA, I wanted to give an idea on what it looks like!) but I do enjoy it because I feel like it does make my skin smooth and I have noticed that my skin has become evenly toned because Lord knows that I used to have the most attractive glasses and bangs tan way back when. And I exfoliate using St. Ives Apricot Scrub at least once a week as it contains salicylic acid, which has been known to help get rid of combat acne. It also makes my skin feel extremely soft!
For a moisturizer, I used to use Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizer (mainly because my mom goes crazy with it and doesn’t really purchase anything else). It has done justice when it comes to moisturizing! But you know, change is inevitable and I enjoy switching things up from time to time, so I now use Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 (Also because it came in a pack from either Costco or Sam’s Club.. I don’t know.. Warehouse businesses got me feelin’ some typa way).
I’ve recently started using eye creams and the like to take care of my under eyes because I’m really starting to look like a panda and I often get asked if I’m okay… So far I’ve been using coconut oil because I stumbled on an article and decided to give it a go, yis. I also use coconut oil as a makeup remover alongside Maybelline’s Clean Express Eye Makeup Remover.
And when the going gets rough, I use Queen Helene’s Mint Julep Masque as spot treatment!
I hope it’s not too bad of a read and I hope I helped! Remember that everyone’s skin is different so the outcome won’t be entirely the same. :>
